W. ALLEN WALLIS INSTITUTE OF POLITICAL ECONOMY

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Political Economy

The W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship. The appointment can be for one or two semesters during the academic year 2008-2009. The Institute is a collaborative effort of the University of Rochester's Departments of Economics and Political Science, and its mandate is to support research and teaching in political economy.

♦ ♦ ♦

Fellows should have a strong interest in political economy and will be expected to participate in the intellectual life of the Economics and Political Science Departments. They will also be required to teach one course in political economy or in their discipline during the academic year. The precise courses will, as much as possible, follow the fellow's choices.

♦ ♦ ♦

Applicants must have completed the requirements for their Ph.D.'s in political science, economics, or political economy by September 1, 2008. Fellows will normally have received their degrees within the previous five years. Applications from women and minorities are particularly encouraged.

♦ ♦ ♦

All applicants should submit a vita, one written sample of work, and three letters of reference (with original signatures) to Mrs. Terry Fisher, W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy, 107 Harkness Hall, Box 27-0158, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY 14627-0158. An electronic version of your vita and writing sample may be sent to tmfi@troi.cc.rochester.edu. We will be considering applications beginning February 1, 2008.
